It's because they try and look as childlike as possible despite apparently being adults.

It's because the artist's webcomic was random as fuck and never bothered with proportions until way later.

Yeah, the art style is really off-putting.

When I read the title, I was interested, because I had the idea that maybe her husband spoke a different language or something like that. Then I read the premise.
The flirty and loving life of an otaku and an office lady
Oh boy, let's reach out and pander to the audience and let's do it hard.

Well, seeing as I kept up with Keroro for the longest time, maybe i should actually give it a try first.

From what I've read (20 chapters), it doesn't pander to the otaku audience so much as make a perfect figure for what otaku husbands could be (loving, caring, ok income) while slice of lifing the wife. I like it, although there are some pretty pander-y elements (like the homo brother who looks like a girl and draws homo doujins of himself with his brother).

I was interested until I saw they were turning all of the female characters into twelve-year-old-looking moeblobs to get that pedo money.

I honestly don't know which bothers me more: the adults being drawn like moeblobs or the absurdly long series title.

Watched it for the hell of it and honestly the moe-blob wife thing didn't really bother me considering the episode was only 3 minutes long with 20 second skits that move so fast you barely have time to even see the characters. The thing was I just didn't find any of it funny.

Yeah, in the first episode the "jokes" were all too obvious & cliche. Hopefully they'll expand a bit now that they've got the obvious ones out of the way.

Watched the first "episode". It was...alright I guess. It just moved and jumped around far fast. If you're going to just do random skits, at least TRY to make them longer than 30 seconds. The way Nichijou and Daily Lives of Highschool Boys did. Didn't know it was only 3 mins long per episodes. When eps 1 and 2 both DLed in like a minute, for a second I thought I was bamboozled and DLed a virus or something instead.

Due to the length though, I probably won't keep up with it, and just wait for it all to end and watch everything at once.

And with good reason to.

Best part of episode 2 was when she told him that he shoudl invite some of HIS friends.

The Wife is just great in general. And I actually like the little duet at the end.

My wife & I liked the first season, and the ending had me hopeful for a sequel. Wonder if it'll be a boy or a girl?

I hope it's a girl. Just so we'd have scenarios of the Wife dreading that she might take after his husband.

Also, regarding the "pandering with moe" bit, a friend of mention mentioned there's some intention to it. It's basically saying "you should get married, regardless of your status".

I'll agree that they were pushing it with the "broster" bit though.

Also, I feel like this would be more appropriate if the Wife was voiced by Maaya Sakamoto, but I can let it slide.

First episode was a bit odd. Felt more like a side story to last season.

The '7.5' in the title card made me think it actually happened during season 1.

Also, why do I feel like the husband is kind of cool, considering he bought a bike just in case the wife felt like going on a nostalgia trip?

Because the entire point of the show is that The Husband, despite being a stereotypical Otaku (in the Japanese sense), genuinely loves The Wife, and for all his social faux pas, he understands the importance of supporting her physical and emotional needs, just as she does despite him being...him.

Looks like S2 is over. Sorta bummed that only 3 of the episodes took place after S1. Hopefully we get another block that ends with Sayoko being born.

Yeah, I kind of wished there were shenanigans with them dealing with having a kid of their own.

Last ep also felt a little disappointing since it really was just Ryoko Shiraishi just telling us "Oh, they were having a fight over what to name their baby and then they decided on a name so it's OK now."

Oh god I entirely forgot about that this season. Are the episodes still 5 minutes long?
